Everywhere it seems people are searching for peace. Today millions of dollars are being spent on many methods to find peace for living. Well, I found a few verses, which if taken to heart, might go a long way to finding that elusive peace for which many are seeking.
The verses can be found in Philippians 4: 7-9, in the Message Bible translation.
" God knows your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything
coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what
happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. I'd say you'll do best by
filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling,
gracious--the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly, things to praise, not things
to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and
realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most
excellent harmonies."
What do you say? Ask God to help you give these words a try. The peace we all seek may be just a prayer away. He is always there for us, waiting to hear and help no matter when you call or where you are.

EVERYDAY IS THANKSGIVING DAY
Psalm 100: 4 & 5 says, "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting:; and His truth endureth to all generations."
God is good, all the time and all the time good is good! How many times have I heard that? Is this really true? Look at all the terrible things happening in the World today? Why would a "good" God let these things happen? Well, someday we will know--I sure don't, because I am not God and I do not see the end from the beginning as He does!
But I do know this! I am going to keep thanksgiving in my heart each day and give praise to His name. He has a plan for my life and I want to seek to follow it, even if things do not go as I would want them to go. He is in control and I trust him to do what is best for me.

GOD CALLS ME HIS FRIEND!
Continuing the thought of yesterday, God not only knows my name, but He also calls me His friend! I can only marvel at that thought! The God who created all things and holds it together has adopted me into His family through Faith in His Son, Jesus Christ! Now I am joint heir with Him and I partake in the full inheritance of my Father! Read Romans 8:14-17. You, too can become a friend of God and also an heir of these things mentioned . Just bow your head now, right where you are, and ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and give you the gift of Eternal Life. Accept Him as your Savior, --say Jesus , I am sorry for my sins, please forgive me, I ask you to come into my life, to be my Lord, my Savior, and my friend! I am yours! Thank you for saving me and adopting me into your Eternal family. Amen!
If you did this, these words are also for you. They say, "You are my friend when you do the things I command you. I'm no longer calling you servant because a servant doesn't understand what his master is thinking and planning. No, I've named you friend, because I've let you in on everything I've heard from the Father."
John 15:14-15.

HE KNOWS MY NAME!
Psalm 147:4, says "He telleth the number of the stars, he calleth them all by name"!
Just think of that! I am told that there are between 200-400 billion stars just in our Milky Way Galaxy and then 50 billion other galaxies (within site of the Hubble telescope) outside of the Milky Way! Then there are countless billions of stars located in each one of those!
These numbers are just impossible to comprehend, yet what does the verse say----he calls ALL of the stars by their names! Then comes the really AWESOME thought for you and me! This Great God, Almighty, Creator of ALL these things---he knows OUR NAME! That is really something to think on today and always!
Praise him that He even thinks of me---yet He loves me with an everlasting love--and YOU also!

I WANT TO TALK TO YOU.........
I woke up at 5:00 AM this morning, wide awake! Tried to go back to sleep, but couldn't. So, I got up and had my quiet time early. After reading the Bible verse, I knew that it was God who woke me because He had something very special to tell me----something I needed very badly in my life to use in the anxieties that confront me.
The verse is Isaiah 41:10, from the Message translation of the Bible: It says: "Don't panic: I'm with you. There's no need to fear for I'm your God. I'll give you strength, I'll help you. I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you."
What a promise in those words! What more has to be said?

WHAT DO I DO NOW?
Through his Mercy and Grace, God has done everything for us! Now because of these Gifts, what do we do with them? Well, we are told what to do in Romans 12:1! We are told to present ourselves to God as a "Living Sacrifice" as opposed to a "dead one"! This is our reasonable service, or do what is expected of us: giving to others what has been given to us! We are not merely to accept these awesome gifts and just take them, but our lives are daily to be that "Living Sacrifice" that God wants us to be.
Now, read and think on Romans 12:1.
